Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing digital products for accessibility compliance, ensuring they are usable by people of all abilities. This role involves manual and automated testing using accessibility tools, as well as deep knowledge of WCAG guidelines. Roles & Responsibilities: Evaluate websites, web applications, and mobile apps for accessibility compliance. Conduct manual testing using screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver. Perform automated accessibility scans using tools such as AXE, Wave, Lighthouse, or Accessibility Insights. Create detailed accessibility reports outlining issues and recommendations. Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to ensure inclusive design and development. Interpret and apply WCAG 2.1 (A/AA/AAA) and Section 508 standards. Participate in design reviews and provide accessibility input from early stages of the SDLC. Stay updated on emerging accessibility tools and legislation. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in Accessibility Testing. Hands-on knowledge of WCAG guidelines, ARIA roles, and accessibility principles. Experience with assistive technologies (Screen Readers, Keyboard Navigation, Color Contrast Tools). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for understanding code structure. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Strong documentation and communication skills. Good to Have: CPACC or WAS certification from IAAP. Knowledge of mobile accessibility guidelines (iOS and Android). Experience working in enterprise environments with accessibility mandates. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Accessibility certifications (optional but preferred).
