Job Title: Academic Counsellor

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, results-oriented Academic Counsellor to join our team in Mankavu, Kozhikode. This full-time role is perfect for motivated individuals, including freshers, looking to start a career in the education sector.

The Academic Counsellor is a crucial position, serving as the primary link between the institution and prospective students. Your main goal is to use your communication and guidance skills to help individuals identify and enroll in the best educational pathways for their career goals, directly contributing to the organization's growth.

Salary & Location

  • Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
  • Location: Mankavu, Kozhikode
  • Work Arrangement: In-person

Key Responsibilities

This role involves a mix of outreach, guidance, sales, and administrative tasks:

  • Student Engagement & Enrolment:
  • Proactive Outreach: Connect with interested potential students (leads) through phone calls, emails, and other channels to discuss educational programs.
  • Personalized Guidance: Actively listen to students' aspirations, build strong rapport, and provide tailored advice and support to help them make informed academic decisions.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly enrolment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Program & Process Expertise:
  • Expert Knowledge: Clearly and accurately explain program specifics, including admission criteria, tuition fees, financial aid options, and potential career outcomes.
  • Lifecycle Management: Guide candidates smoothly through every stage of the academic process, from initial inquiry right through to successful enrollment and onboarding.
  • Issue Resolution: Professionally address and resolve student concerns, questions, and objections.
  • Collaboration & Data Management:
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with the admissions and academic teams to ensure a successful transition for new students.
  • Data Integrity: Accurately use the CRM system to log all student interactions, progress, and relevant information.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date on program changes, industry trends, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience (Preferred): Proven ability in telesales, customer service, or other communication/sales-intensive roles is a significant asset. Experience in the academic or education services sector is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Mindset: Must be self-motivated, target-driven, and possess a confident, persuasive communication style focused on converting leads into enrolments.
  • Work Style: Effective working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with CRM systems is a distinct advantage.
