Academic Content Editor

You will be joining our educational publishing team as an Editor, where your attention to detail and creativity will be highly valued. Your responsibilities will include editing, proofreading, and fact-checking educational content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. You will collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, and designers to refine manuscripts, curricula, assessments, and digital learning materials. It will be your duty to ensure that all content aligns with educational guidelines, pedagogical standards, and market requirements. Your role will involve managing editorial workflows to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials. You will conduct content reviews to enhance readability, engagement, and instructional effectiveness. Collaboration with graphic designers will be essential to ensure appropriate visuals, layout, and formatting. Staying updated with educational trends, curriculum changes, and technological advancements in publishing will also be part of your responsibilities. Providing feedback and training to junior editors and freelance writers may be required. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. A minimum of two years of experience in editing, educational publishing, curriculum development, or instructional design is preferred. You should possess a strong understanding of educational standards, learning methodologies, and pedagogy. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with familiarity with style guides (APA, Chicago, MLA) and content development processes, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems is required. The ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team environment is crucial. Experience in digital publishing, e-learning content, or interactive educational materials would be advantageous. This is a full-time position with day shift schedule. The work location is in person.,
