Handle day-to-day accounting activities: general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, discounts, and credit notes specific to book distribution Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. Prepare and analyze financial statements and MIS reports for management. Ensure statutory compliance – TDS, GST, Income Tax, and ROC filings. Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities. Supervise and support junior accountants and finance assistants. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. 5–8 years of experience in accounting Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting tools Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. It will be your duty to ensure that all content aligns with educational guidelines, pedagogical standards, and market requirements. Your role will involve managing editorial workflows to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials. You will conduct content reviews to enhance readability, engagement, and instructional effectiveness. Collaboration with graphic designers will be essential to ensure appropriate visuals, layout, and formatting. Staying updated with educational trends, curriculum changes, and technological advancements in publishing will also be part of your responsibilities. Providing feedback and training to junior editors and freelance writers may be required. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
