AC TECHNICIAN & HELPER

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and practical experience to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related components.
• Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and resolve issues related to cooling performance.
• Conduct field service visits to assess and repair HVAC equipment in various locations.
• Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC design into new builds.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components.
• Execute plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working with ammonia refrigeration systems.

Skills

• Proficient in HVAC design principles and practices.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with construction processes and property maintenance requirements.
• Experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R field is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for complex systems.
• Knowledge of appliance repair techniques related to HVAC units.
• Welding skills are a plus for certain installation tasks.
• Previous experience working with boilers is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
