3rd Shift Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor at Radiac Abrasives, Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing the productivity and quality of our production team in Salem, Illinois. You will be responsible for ensuring that productivity and safety standards are met to achieve target goals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage a production team to ensure productivity standards are achieved and production processes run smoothly. - Ensure that quality specifications are met for all products produced. - Utilize strong machining and mechanical abilities to troubleshoot problems independently. - Enable team members to identify root causes and take effective action to resolve problems promptly. - Develop and motivate direct reporting staff to meet expectations. - Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance and general issues. - Communicate effectively with all staff members verbally and in writing. - Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules and regulations. - Collaborate with other Supervisors to ensure efficient production workflow through effective communication tools. - Provide necessary training to meet skill requirements. - Implement lean methodology to enhance production throughput. - Contribute actively to the company's continuous improvement plan for future growth. - Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace. - Perform any other duties as assigned. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing and leading people in a manufacturing production environment. - Manufacturing degree or equivalent experience. - Working knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing principles, and Root cause and corrective action.
