3D PRINTING SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT

Location: Mumbai

Brief Job Description:

• Training Delivery

  • Conduct instructor-led training sessions for students on 3D printing fundamentals,3D design workflows, slicing software, machine operation, and post-processingtechniques.

  • Provide hands-on workshops covering FDM, SLA, SLS, and other relevant 3D printingtechnologies.

  • Mentor and guide students in projects, prototyping, and industry-aligned casestudies.

• Trainer Training (TOT)

  • Conduct training-of-trainers (TOT) programs to certify Aptech network trainers indelivering the 3D printing curriculum effectively.

  • Standardize teaching delivery across network centres to ensure quality andconsistency

  • Create trainer manuals and evaluation rubrics to support faculty adoption.

• Curriculum Development

  • Design and develop comprehensive training material including lesson plans,PowerPoint slides, lab manuals, and project assignments.

  • Create video-based learning content and digital self-paced modules to supporthybrid/online delivery.

  • Update curriculum regularly to incorporate emerging technologies and industryneeds in additive manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with various industry partners to integrate OEM certifications and casestudies into the program.

• Academic & Industry Alignment

  • Map course modules to STEM, vocational, and professional skill developmentframeworks (ITI, Diploma, UG/PG levels)

  • Ensure curriculum is outcome-based with clear career pathways (machine operators,prototyping specialists, R&D assistants)

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in 3D printing materials, software, andapplications to keep content cutting-edge.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Strong understanding of 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, DLP, etc.) and 3D designtools (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, etc.)

• Additional skills/working knowledge of 3D Design tools like Autodesk 3dsmax, Blender,ZBrush will be an added advantage

• Prior experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or academic contentcreation.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for classroom & video delivery.

• Ability to train trainers and standardize pedagogy across multiple centres.

• Knowledge of additive manufacturing applications in engineering, healthcare, prototyping,R&D, and product design

• Creative, structured, and detail-oriented approach to academic development.

• Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, or related fields.

  • Certification or practical exposure in Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in training, curriculum development, or academicprogram design.
