Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Assisting the Medical Superintendent in overall hospital administration and operations.
Supervising daily functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU and diagnostic departments.
Ensuring smooth patient flow and high standards of patient care services.
Monitoring adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety, and quality standards.
Handling patient grievances and ensuring timely resolution.
Preparing and managing duty rosters for medical and paramedical staff.
Coordinating interdepartmental communication and workflow management.
Ensuring compliance with government regulations and medico-legal requirements.
Supervising biomedical waste management and infection control practices.
Maintaining documentation for NABH/NABL accreditation and SOP implementation.
Monitoring hospital infrastructure, equipment maintenance, and facility services.
Ensuring availability of medicines, consumables, and critical supplies.
Managing emergency and disaster preparedness plans and conducting mock drills.
Assisting in budgeting, resource utilization, and cost-effective operations.
Conducting departmental meetings and coordinating with external agencies.
Ensuring proper medical record maintenance, data accuracy, and confidentiality.
Participating in core committees such as Infection Control, Quality, and Safety.
Supporting training programs, CME activities, and staff development.
Acting as Medical Superintendent in their absence.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: MBBS with MHA or MBA in Hospital Administration
