Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and coordinate 2nd level support activities for ECU initial start-up. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in automotive diagnostics and communication protocols, along with strong leadership and assertive communication skills to manage escalations and foster collaboration across global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate 2nd level support for ECU initial start-up across multiple vehicle lines (Cars, Buses, Trucks, Vans).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project escalations and resolution tracking.
  • Enable seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams including diagnostics, software development, testing, and OEM stakeholders.
  • Understand and interpret vehicle diagnostic requirements as per ISO standards.
  • Analyze CAN logs and troubleshoot complex issues using Vector tools.
  • Participate in diagnostics guideline meetings and ensure alignment across global counterparts.
  • Drive continuous improvement in diagnostic processes and support mechanisms.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Technical Skills Required

  • Expert-level knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) and ISO 15765 diagnostic protocols.
  • Strong understanding of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and ISO TP communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Vector Tool Chains: CANalyzer, CANoe, and CAPL scripting.
  • Proficiency in ECU flashing and bootloader concepts.
  • Solid experience in CAN log analysis and vehicle network management.
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting tasks.

Qualification

Education:

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience Required: 12 to 14 years

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Assertive and proactive in managing escalations and driving issue resolution.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple support streams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic proficiency in German language.
  • Experience working in a global automotive environment with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
