2D Draftsman

Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Draftsman to join our design team at SSB Architects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and working drawings for architectural and interior design projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure precision and clarity in all design documentation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare architectural and interior layout drawings, working drawings, and detail drawings. Convert sketches and concepts into accurate 2D CAD drawings. Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and company guidelines. Coordinate with architects and site engineers for drawing updates and revisions. Maintain organized records of drawings and versions. Assist in developing presentation drawings when required. Requirements: Proven experience as a 2D Draftsman in architecture/interior design or construction. Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software. Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, and drawing standards. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. Good organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Drafting Technology. Familiarity with municipal building norms and submission drawings is a plus.
