Job Description

As an Assistant Manager - Communications at WWF-India, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling narratives and engaging content for various communication channels. Your responsibilities will include: - Writing and editing stories/articles for print collaterals such as newsletters and annual reports. - Creating content for digital communication channels and platforms including websites, social media, emailers, and fundraising initiatives. - Generating and pitching fresh content ideas to captivate audiences. - Conducting thorough scientific research on conservation topics and translating internal field reports into easily understandable content for external readers. - Traveling to field offices across India to conduct on-field interviews as needed. - Creating audio and visual content during field trips. - Utilizing storyboarding experience to determine the most effective combination of text, images, audio, and video assets. - Collaborating with various departments to produce strategic and compelling stories. - Coordinating with programme, state, and field teams to manage the story collection, production, and distribution process. - Developing editorial calendars and repurposing stories across different platforms. - Inviting guest contributors like bloggers, experts, or notable individuals to contribute content to the website. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Communications (or a related field). - Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant writing, storytelling, and content creation across both print and digital platforms, showcasing exceptional writing, research, and communication skills. - Strong understanding of content marketing, SEO, and social media. - Proficiency in working with AV equipment for capturing visuals, video stories, and facilitating podcasts. - Familiarity with MS Office and Canva, while any design skills with the Adobe Suite would be an added advantage. - Knowledge of online platforms such as WordPress CMS, e-newsletter services, social media platforms, and relevant scheduling services. - Willingness to travel to field offices for stories. - Effective interviewing skills with the ability to ask insightful questions while maintaining sensitivity and empathy. - Creative mindset, ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the organization.,
