Workshop Engineer

You will be working as an Engineer Workshop - Mechanical under the supervision of the Senior Engineer Workshop Mechanical in the Asset Operations department located in Jamnagar. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out workshop services such as machining, valve/PSV repairing & calibration, onsite support service for machining, coordinating machining activities with external vendors, and conducting mechanical equipment overhauling activities. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations while complying with statutory regulations and company policies. Your key performance indicators will include achieving zero HSEF incidents in the Workshop and CES workshop areas, completing machining and overhauling/repair work on time as per plant requirements, and ensuring the availability of heavy equipment as per the plan. You will collaborate internally with departments such as Human Resources, Administration, Workshop, Planning, and Security, while externally interacting with vendors, equipment manufacturers, and contractors. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with a specialization in Mechanical. Ideally, you should have 1-3 years of experience in industrial/Mechanical workshop maintenance, with around 2 years of on-the-job experience. To successfully execute your responsibilities, you must possess competencies in mechanical maintenance management, inspection management, machining/production technology, knowledge of various codes/standards, AutoCAD, metrology, workshop maintenance methodology, and Health and Safety standards. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as cranes, hydra, forklifts, EOT, and welding technologies will be advantageous. In terms of career progression, after this role, you can move on to becoming a Senior Engineer Workshop - Mechanical. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to meet the set KPIs, ensure seamless workshop operations, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the maintenance activities.,
