As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using WordPress. You will customize themes, templates, and plugins to meet project requirements. Your duties will include handling client communication, providing project updates, and gathering requirements. Additionally, you will optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and compatibility. Collaboration with designers and marketers for UI/UX improvements and web strategies will be an integral part of your role. You will also be managing hosting environments, domains, and backups when necessary. To excel in this position, you should have at least 3 years of experience in WordPress development. Experience in secondary skills such as React, Node.js, Java, or Python will be an added advantage. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential, along with familiarity with page builders like Elementor and WPBakery. A good understanding of SEO, UI/UX principles, and responsive design is required. Knowledge of custom post types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and plugin development/customization is also necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as you will be interacting with clients and working independently.
