Were seeking a seasoned WordPress Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience. In this role, you'll develop and maintain custom WordPress solutions, from themes and plugins to performance optimization and site scalability. You should be comfortable working independently on technical challenges, collaborating with designers and stakeholders, and delivering robust, SEO-friendly websites. Key Responsibilities: Technical Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes/plugins from scratch, ensuring scalability and performance. Optimize websites for speed, security, mobile responsiveness, and SEO (e.g., Core Web Vitals, Google PageSpeed). Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL. Implement headless WordPress or JAMstack architectures where applicable. Technical SEO & Management: Ability to integrate technical SEO, including keyword/topic research (SEMrush/Ahrefs), audits existing content, and maps to the user journey). Collaborate with writers, designers, and SEO specialists to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly websites. Monitor performance metrics (traffic, bounce rates, conversions) and refine strategies using tools like Google Analytics. Solid awareness of SEO principles and how to implement them in WordPress Familiarity with tools like ACF, WPML, Yoast SEO, and performance monitoring platforms Understanding of web standards, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility Partner with marketing teams to align with digital campaigns and social media strategies. What You Bring to the Table: 3 to 5 years of hands-on WordPress development with a portfolio showcasing custom themes/plugins and large-scale projects. Front-End Mastery: Expertise in WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks. Design Collaboration: Proficiency in translating Figma/Photoshop/Canva designs into pixel-perfect WordPress sites. Technical SEO: Experience with schema markup, canonical tags, site speed optimization, and accessibility standards. Optimize for SEO, and leverage tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance technical execution with data-driven content strategies. Soft Skills: Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities. Nice-to-Have Skills: Exposure to digital marketing strategies (email campaigns, paid ads). Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
