About the job: Key responsibilities: 1. Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins. 2. Work with custom post types, page builders like Elementor and WPBakery, and Gutenberg blocks. 3. Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues. 4. Integrate REST APIs and manage third-party plugin functionality. 5. Optimize websites for speed using tools like GTmetrix and PageSpeed Insights. 6. Implement technical SEO best practices such as site speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and URL structure improvements. 7. Conduct website audits and provide actionable SEO recommendations. 8. Handle website migration, manage staging environments, backups, and perform updates. 9. Apply basic website security practices and implement WordPress hardening techniques. Requirements: 1. Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development. 2. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP. 3. Solid understanding of on-page SEO, including meta tags, schema markup, and site structure. 4. Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Yoast, or Rank Math. 5. Knowledge of backlink strategies and keyword research. 6. Experience working with WordPress hosting platforms like Hostinger.
