WordPress Developer

WordPress Developerto lead the development and optimization of high-performance, responsive websites. This role combinesfrontend finesse with backend strength, requiring experience in both custom theme and plugin development as well as a strong grasp of content strategy, user experience, and website performance.

You will work closely with our design, marketing, and content teams to transform creative briefs and wireframes into functional, SEO-optimized, and mobile-first digital experiences that meet business objectives and align with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient backend solutions using WordPressCreate visually engaging and responsive user interfaces usingHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworksCollaborate withUIUX designersto turn design concepts into interactive, user-friendly websitesCode and testcross-device compatiblewebsites, ensuring consistency across browsers and platformsOptimize website performance in line withGoogle PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, and SEO standardsDevelop and extend WordPress functionality viacustom themes, plugins, shortcodes, or REST API integrationsOversee server-side configurations and CMS technical health for speed and stabilityMaintain WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates with proper version controlTroubleshoot theme, plugin, and hosting issues, delivering fast, reliable solutionsProvide CMS training and documentation to internal teams or clients for routine managementStay updated with the latest WordPress updates, security practices, and emerging development trendsDocument code, reusable components, and project methodologies for consistency and scalabilityRequired Skills ExperienceBachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience(custom themes, plugins, CMS architecture)Proficiency inPHP, MySQL,andJavaScript, with experience in custom backend functionalityStrong frontend development skills: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, responsive design principlesExperience with SEO optimization, schema markup, and accessibility complianceFamiliarity with version control systems likeGitGitHubExperience working with a variety of WordPress plugins and third-party integrationsAbility to manage multiple web development projects simultaneouslyExposure toITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and agile development environmentsis a plusPersonal AttributesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and in a teamFast learner, adaptable, and self-driven with a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiencesComfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentGood to Have:Experience with headless WordPress or decoupled CMS architecturesKnowledge of JAMstack, static site generators (like Gatsby or Hugo)Familiarity with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue.js) for frontend enhancementsExposure to marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zoho)Understanding of DevOps basics including CICD pipelines and deployment toolsPrior work with multilingual or multi-site WordPress setupsKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean)Contributions to the WordPress community (themes, plugins, support forums)Understanding of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Hotjar)Sounds Like You:You re someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and code.
