Wordpress Developer

• Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of WordPress applications and business process developments.
• Collaborate with the business in identifying functional requirements for process groups, and create corresponding technical specifications
• Create and modify WordPress configurations using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications
• Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects
• Provide technical support to end users; diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
• Ensure Change Controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate.
• Expected to be involved in support activities and a number of development activities and to have developed excellent business process design skills.

Skills

• At minimum of

  4-8 years

  of experience in WordPress development.
• Very good understanding of PHP backend development
• Good knowledge on interaction with REST APIs and JSON format.
• Excellent knowledge of WordPress plugin and WordPress themes.
• Knowledge of using WordPress as a headless CMS
• Proficient understanding on code versioning tool like GitHub and Azure DevOps
• Good knowledge of technologies like HTML/HTML 5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax
• Knowledge of how frontend technologies like Angular, React work with headless CMS.
• Knowledge of different PHP frameworks, libraries, or any other technology relevant to WordPress Multisite
• Knowledge on CDN
• Ability to design solution and implement in WordPress.
• Previous experience on WP VIP and WP Engine
• Good communication skills in English language.
