WLAN Development Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced WLAN Development Lead with extensive expertise in WLAN firmware and driver development, along with strong proficiency in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) administration. The role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of WLAN systems while managing Maximo performance, upgrades, and integrations across environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage Maximo applications, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.

Provide end-user support, including access control, security, and system troubleshooting.

Ensure seamless integration of Maximo with other enterprise systems and monitor overall performance.

Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and apply technical fixes.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep Maximo up to date.

Collaborate with consultants and subject matter experts across internal and external teams.

Design, implement, and optimize WLAN firmware and driver components based on IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

Develop and maintain wireless connectivity stacks and protocol layers (MAC, PHY).

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate WLAN solutions into embedded platforms (Android/Linux).

Analyze and resolve wireless performance issues, latency problems, and interference.

Support validation and testing using Wireshark, protocol analyzers, and signal generators.

Stay updated with the latest WLAN technologies, standards, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields.

710 years of experience in IBM Maximo Administration and upgrade projects.

Proficient in Maximo Administration, WebSphere App Server, and SSO/LDAP/SAML configurations.

Experience with RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, GCP, AWS).

Strong programming experience in C/C++.

Hands-on experience with Linux kernel, device driver development, and networking subsystems.

Knowledge of wireless standards including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax.

Familiarity with Hostapd, wpa_supplicant, or similar open-source Wi-Fi stacks.

Proficiency with wireless debugging and analysis tools (Wireshark, Omnipeek).

Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
