Wireless Network Engineer

A Wireless Network Technician must set up, monitor and upgrade wireless infrastructures, such as wireless controllers, network access control systems and guest user systems. Technicians must further maintain the wireless environment of an organization. They must offer level-three support for wireless issues reported by IT user services teams. Network Technicians must also collect data and feedback from clients regarding functionality.

Technicians must collaborate with IT help desks to resolve wireless configuration issues. They must identify, rectify and replace malfunctioning wireless access points (WAP). Network Technicians must also locate and resolve rogue WAPs and other interferences. Network Technicians further must record and maintain user support documentation for wireless systems. They must also test any new wireless client devices and document required settings.
