Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled PowerShell Scripting and Automation Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate and streamline various IT processes.

This role involves working closely with other IT professionals to design and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and administrative functions.

Create scripts for system monitoring, configuration management, application deployment, and other IT operations.

Ensure scripts are robust, efficient, and reusable. Design and implement automation solutions to streamline IT processes and workflows.

Collaborate with IT teams to identify areas for automation and develop appropriate solutions.

Maintain and update existing automation scripts and tools to improve performance and functionality.

Work with Windows administrators to automate system management tasks such as user account management, software installations, and system updates. Integrate PowerShell scripts with other tools and platforms to enhance automation capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated processes.

Document automation procedures, scripts, and configurations for future reference and training purposes. Provide training and support to stakeholders and windows administrator on the use of PowerShell scripts and automation tools. Develop and maintain a knowledge base of automation best practices and solutions.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand automation requirements and deliver solutions. Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding project status, issues, and resolutions.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of automation practices.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in PowerShell scripting and automation. Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

Experience with Windows Server operating systems and core services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with other scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus. Understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
