Wind Analyst

As a Performance Analysis Engineer for solar PV plants, your main responsibility will involve conducting in-depth performance analysis of operational solar PV plants. This includes analyzing and developing wind resource meteorological files for various simulation software such as Windographer, WASP, Windfarmer, OpenWind, and WindSim. You will also be responsible for analyzing and developing solar resource meteorological files for simulation software like PVsyst, PVlib, SAM, and Plant Predict. Furthermore, your role will encompass analyzing energy production data from both wind and solar projects, including comparing operating data with modelled data and conducting downtime analyses. You will also be tasked with performing statistical analysis of long-term energy yields and conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Python and Excel. In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating the performance of various components such as WTGs, PV arrays, power electronic devices, and electrical equipment based on recorded SCADA data. You will also be involved in optimizing the technology and design of wind farms, solar PV plants, and wind-solar hybrids using analytical methods. This includes evaluating key equipment forming a wind farm or solar PV plant and computing Bill of Quantities from basic designs and layouts. Another aspect of your role will involve reviewing test procedures for plant acceptance proposed by the test party and evaluating the performance of wind projects. Your expertise in performance analysis and optimization will be crucial in ensuring the efficient operation and performance of solar PV plants.,
