Welding Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for conducting BIW structure studies and identifying quality concerns related to Body accuracy. Your role will involve using Fix & Portable CMM machines and Body scanning techniques. Additionally, you will be preparing Jig Planning Sheets and Vender Checking fixture concept sheets for New Model Introduction based on Part Drawings and Jig Drawings. It is crucial for you to have knowledge of the New Model Quality built process with a focus on BIW Fit & finish. Furthermore, you will be tasked with resolving and analyzing problems related to Fit/Finish of White Body in various stages such as Paint, Assembly, Vehicle Inspection, and NVH, considering Body Accuracy, Part Accuracy, and Process study. Experience in Closure/Hemming parts verification process using checking fixtures and scanning methods is also required. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct BIW structure studies and identify quality concerns - Work with Fix & Portable CMM machines and Body scanning tools - Prepare Jig Planning Sheets and Vender Checking fixture concept sheets - Resolve problems related to Fit/Finish of White Body - Verify Closure/Hemming parts using checking fixtures and scanning methods - Analyze CMM reports and Scanning Reports for White Body and Sub component accuracy - Have basic knowledge of Jigs/fixture concept, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Auto Weld Line operation, and Part accuracy check Qualifications Required: - Diploma or B.Tech in relevant field - 2.6 - 7 years of experience in BIW structure study and quality concerns identification - Hands-on experience in using Fix & Portable CMM machines and Body scanning tools - Familiarity with New Model Quality built process and BIW Fit & finish requirements - Basic knowledge of Weld Body structure, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, and Auto Weld Line operation (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description),
