Welder/Fitter

Job Description / Work Profile:

We are seeking a skilled Welder cum Fitter who will be responsible for carrying out welding and fabrication work, as well as fitting, assembling, and maintaining metal structures and machinery parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas welding as required.
• Cut, bend, and shape metal components using hand tools, machines, and power tools.
• Fit, assemble, and install fabricated components or structures as per design.
• Inspect, measure, and verify dimensions of finished products to ensure quality.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and modification of machinery or structures.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and safety gear in proper working condition.
• Follow workplace safety standards and use PPE during all operations.
• Collaborate with the production and maintenance team to complete projects on time.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Welder / Fitter in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment.
• Ability to work with different welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc/Gas).
• Knowledge of metals, alloys, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges).
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fitting, or related trade preferred.

Work Environment:

• Workshop / factory floor or onsite depending on project.
• May involve standing for long hours and working in heat, noise, or confined spaces.

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹9,203.95 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 20 per week
