Job Description

As a Welder, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for various welding tasks to ensure the high-quality fabrication and assembly of metal components based on engineering drawings and blueprints. Your strong understanding of welding techniques, equipment, materials, and safety standards will be essential to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Perform welding using methods such as MIG, Flux-Cored Arc, and Oxy-Acetylene techniques on different metals and alloys. - Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols for precise fabrication. - Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and related equipment safely and efficiently. - Measure, cut, and join materials accurately to fabricate components and assemblies. - Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment following health and safety regulations. - Troubleshoot welding defects, perform repairs or rework as needed for finished products to meet standards. - Collaborate with fabrication teams and supervisors for timely project completion. - Monitor equipment performance, report any malfunctions, or required maintenance. - Demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workmanship. - Possess the physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions. Qualifications & Skills: - Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting. - Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and Gas Welding. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Strong knowledge of metal types, characteristics, and welding compatibility. - Familiarity with operating and maintaining cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools. - Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - High level of manual dexterity, coordination, and physical fitness. Preferred Qualifications: - Trade certification or diploma in fabrication, mechanical fitting, or related field. - Experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, or a similar industrial environment. - Basic welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick). - Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
