Welder

The Welder is responsible for performing welding operations in mechanical construction projects, including pipelines, structural supports, tanks, and plant equipment. The role ensures adherence to welding procedures, safety standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding machines (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc, Gas welding).
• Perform welding on steel structures, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Inspect welded surfaces for flaws and perform quality checks.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or pre-heating as required.
• Work with materials like carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and ensure fire-safe work areas.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams and supervisors to meet deadlines.
• Maintain welding logs and follow WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).

Skills and Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Welding or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of welding experience in mechanical or industrial construction.
• Certification in welding (e.g., ASME, AWS, or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding inspection methods (e.g., NDT).
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and welding codes.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
