Job Title: Welder cum Maintenance Assistant Department: Maintenance / Production Support Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder cum Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The role involves performing welding tasks, assisting in routine maintenance, and supporting the smooth functioning of equipment and machinery. Key Responsibilities • Perform welding tasks (Arc, MIG, TIG, or Gas welding as required) for repair and fabrication work. • Assist in routine preventive and corrective maintenance of machines, tools, and plant equipment. • Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues. • Ensure all welding and maintenance activities follow safety standards and company procedures. • Maintain tools, welding machines, and workshop equipment in good working condition. • Assist in installation, dismantling, and shifting of machinery or equipment. • Document work done and report any major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Requirements • ITI / Diploma in Welding, Mechanical, or related field (preferred). • Proven experience as a welder with basic knowledge of maintenance activities. • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements. • Knowledge of diAerent welding techniques and materials. • Familiarity with safety practices in welding and maintenance work. • Physically fit and able to work in a factory/plant environment. • Willingness to work in shifts if required. Skills • Strong welding and fabrication skills. • Basic mechanical and maintenance knowledge. • Problem-solving ability. • Attention to detail and safety compliance. • Team player with good communication skills. Work Conditions • Factory/Workshop environment. • May involve working at heights, confined spaces, or outdoor areas depending on tasks. • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
