Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand welding requirements and procedures.
Perform welding operations using various methods such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, or FCAW to join metal parts and components.
Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting parts accurately.
Monitor and adjust welding equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and quality of welds.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure proper functionality.
Follow safety protocols and regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget.
Document work performed and provide feedback on project status to supervisors or engineering teams.
Assist with training junior welders and apprentices, providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
