Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a warm, friendly first impression as guests enter the venue, helping them feel comfortable and valued immediately.
• Manage Reservations and Waitlists: Handle bookings via phone or online systems, organize the seating order, and provide accurate wait time estimates during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.
• Seat Guests and Manage Table Assignments: Escort guests to tables thoughtfully, balancing server sections to ensure even workload distribution and timely service.
• Maintain Front-of-House Cleanliness: Keep the host station, entryway, dining area, and menus tidy and inviting at all times.
• Answer Phone Calls and Inquiries: Respond professionally to guest questions about menus, specials, hours, and policies, enhancing customer trust and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Staff: Liaise closely with servers, kitchen, and management to manage flow, communicate special requests, and resolve any guest issues promptly.
• Assist Waitstaff During Busy Periods: Help with refilling drinks, running food, and other tasks to maintain a steady and pleasant service experience.
• Handle Guest Complaints Calmly: Listen empathetically to customer concerns and work toward satisfactory solutions or escalate to management if required.
