Job Title: Weighbridge Operator

Job Purpose

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately recording the weight of inbound and outbound vehicles, maintaining weighment records, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, and coordinating with logistics, security, and accounts teams for smooth material movement.

Key ResponsibilitiesWeighment Operations

• Operate the weighbridge system to record gross, tare, and net weights of vehicles.
• Ensure accurate weighment of raw materials, finished goods, scrap, and waste.
• Verify vehicle details, material type, challan, and transport documents before weighment.
• Issue weighment slips and maintain proper documentation.

Data Recording & Documentation

• Enter weighment data into the system/register accurately.
• Maintain daily weighbridge logs and reconciliation reports.
• Ensure records are complete, legible, and available for audit.
• Coordinate with accounts for billing and reconciliation.

Compliance & Control

• Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
• Ensure zero tolerance for manipulation, duplication, or unauthorized weighments.
• Report discrepancies, system errors, or suspected malpractices immediately.
• Maintain confidentiality of operational data.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with security, dispatch, stores, and transporters.
• Guide drivers for safe vehicle positioning on the weighbridge.
• Resolve basic operational issues and escalate when required.

Equipment Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Ensure weighbridge area is clean, safe, and obstruction-free.
• Perform basic checks on weighbridge equipment and software.
• Report breakdowns or calibration issues promptly.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP, weighbridge software)
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in shifts and handle high-volume operations
• Honest, reliable, and disciplined approach
• Effective communication skills

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10+2 / ITI / Diploma (any discipline)
• Computer knowledge preferred

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience as a Weighbridge Operator / Store Assistant / Data Entry Operator
• Experience in industrial / logistics environment preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.01 - ₹20,000.38 per month
