Job Description: - Conduct laboratory tests on soil, GSB, WMM, aggregates, DBM, BC, and bitumen as per MoRTH, IS, and IRC standards. Perform key tests such as Proctor (MDD/OMC), CBR, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, Marshall stability, bitumen penetration, ductility, viscosity, and extraction tests . Carry out Field Density Tests (FDT) using sand replacement or core cutter method during subgrade and pavement layer compaction. Monitor temperature and quality of bituminous mixes at plant and site before laying. Assist QA/QC engineers in inspection of road layers like Subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, and BC. Collect samples from field and ensure proper labeling, storage, and preparation for testing. Maintain Material Test Reports (MTRs), Field Test Registers, cube/cube mold logs , and daily test records. Keep laboratory equipment calibrated, clean, and in proper working condition . Record all test results accurately and submit to QA/QC engineers for daily reporting and client inspections. Report any non-conforming materials or failed tests immediately to QA/QC in charge. Coordinate with the site team, batching plant, and QA/QC for timely testing and documentation. Follow all lab and field safety procedures and ensure compliance with standards.
