Originating under a 400-year-old tree at The Tamarind Tree luxury heritage venue, the company specializes in creating cross-cultural weddings and unforgettable celebrations.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Wedding Planner (2+ years) at The Tales of Tradition. The Wedding Planner will be responsible for day-to-day event planning tasks, including coordinating with vendors, creating wedding budgets, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring seamless execution of traditional celebrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, guiding them through the entire wedding planning process, from venue selection to the final send-off.
- Outbound Sales: Drive outbound sales efforts for wedding planning services, converting venue bookings into full wedding planning packages.
- Presentation & Pitching: Meet with clients to pitch our services, discussing themes, venue setups, and specific requirements to craft bespoke wedding experiences.
- Creative Input: Provide innovative ideas for decor, stationery, invites, music, and more, presenting comprehensive wedding proposals that align with clients' visions.
- Budget Management: Discuss budgets and travel restrictions, especially for destination weddings, ensuring all preparations stay within the set budget.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contract terms, obtaining quotes, and ensuring timely payments.
- Logistics & Coordination: Plan the itinerary for the wedding day and other ceremonies, arrange transport, and coordinate on-site activities to ensure a smooth event.
- Wedding Day Management: Be physically present on the wedding day, managing all aspects of the event, from setup to the final farewell, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
- Post-Wedding Follow-Up: Secure wedding gifts and personal property, and obtain feedback from clients, maintaining a record of the event for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Management or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain professional networks.
- 2+ years of experience as an Event/Wedding Planner.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Creative flair with knowledge of trending colour palettes, design, and wedding industry trends.
- Basic understanding of different religious practices and cultural traditions.
- Ability to handle stress and last-minute changes with ease.
- Familiarity with event management tools.
- It's a bonus if you know Kannada or Tamil!
