About the job: Key responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and maintain responsive, SEO-friendly websites mainly WordPress-based with custom theme and plugin development and front-end coding 2. Work independently and remotely, collaborating with marketing, content, and development teams 3. Develop and maintain WordPress sites including custom themes and plugins 4. Write clean HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for UI components 5. Ensure responsiveness and cross-browser and device compatibility 6. Collaborate on content updates 7. Troubleshoot and fix web issues 8. Optimize speed, SEO, and performance 9. Use Git version control 10. Integrate third-party APIs and services 11. Document and support technical processes 12. Stay updated with web technologies and CMS trends Required Skills and Qualifications: 1. Demonstrate 3+ years of experience with portfolio showing WordPress and custom HTML work 2. Exhibit WordPress expertise including custom theme and child theme development, plugin setup and development, familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, WooCommerce a plus 3. Show proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), JavaScript (vanilla, jQuery) 4. Possess solid PHP skills for WordPress customization 5. Have experience with Git 6. Understand SEO fundamentals and site optimization 7. Be comfortable with hosting (cPanel, FTP, DNS) 8. Display strong communication and remote work skills 9. Be detail-oriented and deadline-driven 10. Have experience with Joomla, Drupal, Shopify, Squarespace 11. Knowledge of React, Vue.js, Angular 12. Experience with REST API integration 13.
