Web Developer

British English Academy is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our websites to ensure an engaging user experience, strong performance, and reliable functionality. You will work closely with our marketing and operations teams to create web solutions that support our brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement new features, updates, and functionalities.
• Optimize websites for maximum speed, SEO, and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Maintain website security and perform regular backups.
• Stay up to date with the latest web development trends, frameworks, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a Web Developer (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
• Experience with back-end development (PHP, MySQL, or similar).
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, etc.).
• Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimization techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
