Purpose of the Job - Be in charge of a Logistics operators' team (Alstom employees or external provider), take care of the execution, physically and in the information system, of the counts & movements of materials for a dedicated warehouse area. Supply Chain / Logistic Reports directly to: Warehouse Manager Other reporting to: Direct reports: Logistics Operators NETWORK & LINKS: INTERNAL Material Planning Sourcing Planning Finance Quality & Warranty Strong links with Operations Industrialization & Supply Chain teams on Rolling Stock Maintenance sites PME APSYS EXTERNAL Suppliers/ Logistic Partner Sub-contractors Auditors OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: You are In-charge of all the Logistic teams: warehouse, logistic engineering and transport teams (Alstom employees or external - provider) for your site - Manage and optimize the logistic flows to always keep the physical and system flows aligned - Main responsibilities: Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies: Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures Respect the safety conditions to handle goods, trolleys etc. Actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses and meetings Notify SCM Manager of all safety, site keeping or maintenance issues that are found during inspection that require assistance Ensure the storage of materials, guarantee the quantities stored and the correct storage conditions Ensure the material availability, integrity & delivery on time on production/ Maintenance line Manage the physical material flows of his area (reception, put away, kitting, mirror area, shipping) to always keep physical and system flows aligned Ensure the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution is implemented and correctly used by Logistics / Warehouse EPU/ operators Monitor & challenge the performance of his area activity through Key Performance Indicators Actively contributes to the Continuous Improvement activities & APSYS roadmap (APSYS=Alstom Transport Production System) on his own area Ensure implementation of all standard processes & golden rules in compliance with Logistic Handbook Ensure optimization of warehousing, packaging, and physical flow according to Lean Manufacturing and QCDE (Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety) principles Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (inventory accuracy, cycle counting performance) Ensure the inventory process is in compliance with Alstom standard rules (, instruction) Ensure the deployment of APSYS (Alstom Transport Production System) roadmap by each Team Management: Manage Jobs & Skills, Training & Qualification, Workforce, Staffing & organization, World Class Manufacturing network Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement activity for Warehouse & Logistic Operational activities: Ensure that Environment Health & Safety (EHS) rules are respected and promote EHS culture Responsible for Smooth Operation as per Golden rule - Manage at operations level his area: material receipt, inbound transportation, stock entry, picking and kitting, line feeding, packing, shipping, outbound transportation, inventory accuracy, scrap process Responsible for SOP readiness and implementation for each activity for WH operation and Logistic Operation Responsible for Detailed SOP and Process mapping for Import - Export Process - Procurement & NCR Flow Responsible to meet the legal obligation requirement for WH & Logistic - EHS- AZDP, QMS etc Ensure alignment between physical and system flows: no physical movement without system update Warehousing & Logistics: implement and run Logistics standards for physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, picking, line feeding, inventory, and shipping) Optimize warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy Ensure optimization of transportation flow & cost Manage C-Class* activity according to Alstom standard rules (C-Class is the outsourcing of the small parts management) Promote recycling activities: bin management and returnable packaging Respect any specific storage regulations (chemicals, battery, ) Scrap yard Incharge & Scrap Disposal management. *C Class is the outsourcing of the management of the small parts Finance : Manage Budget for his department - CM /PM Bifurcation - Logistic , FPR Data Readiness , Budget Consumption monitoring Respect the Delegation of Authority (DOA) rules regarding inventory reconciliations Qualifications & Skills: EDUCATION BE or B Tech in Engg / Master in SCM BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: Agile Proactive Assertive Problem Solver TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE Warehouse and Logistic Management 8-12 years experinece in Warehouse and Logistic Operation SAP- MM Module & IM Module- Inventory Supplier Management/ External Parties Management - Transportation Crisis Management Sourcing & finanace Basic Rigor, Communication, knowledge of different tools ,ways of working & methods used in Warehouse operation & Logistic Operation. Experience in WH operational activities and in documentation management. Collaboration and team working Language Skills: Proficient in English language, Hindi Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),SAP (MM/IM Module) EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET Warehouse and Logistic Management 8-12 years experinece in Warehouse and Logistic Operation Language Skills: Proficient in English language, Hindi, IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP (MM Module), Ascot.
