Role Overview

The Floor Lead – Inbound & Outbound Operations is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient execution of operations. This role oversees end-to-end floor execution including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, labelling, data entry, and shipment preparation.

The position requires leading a team of floor associates, managing workflow, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and quality standards, and acting as a key communication link between warehouse staff and site management. The ideal candidate has hands-on warehousing or logistics experience with strong people leadership and operational discipline.

Inbound Operations

• Supervise inbound activities including receiving, unloading, verification, data entry, and put-away of materials.
• Ensure accurate documentation and system entry for inbound receipts using WMS or related systems.
• Verify quantities, quality, and condition of inbound goods; report shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure correct storage, location tagging, and stock accuracy.

Outbound Operations

• Supervise outbound floor operations including picking, packing, labelling, and shipment preparation to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Oversee verification and completion of outbound orders in line with customer and company standards.
• Monitor inventory accuracy in outbound zones and escalate variances for resolution.

Floor & Team Management

• Plan daily work allocation and manpower deployment to meet inbound and outbound production schedules.
• Lead, guide, and motivate floor associates to maintain productivity, quality, and discipline.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members on SOPs, WMS usage, and safety practices.
• Enforce adherence to safety guidelines, company policies, and quality standards at all times.

Reporting & Coordination

• Track and report daily operational metrics such as volumes handled, productivity, quality issues, and labour utilization.
• Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities to maintain stock accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with inventory control, returns, and planning teams to optimize warehouse flow and space utilization.
• Maintain regular communication with site management on operational status, risks, and resource requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, covering both inbound and outbound activities.
• Prior experience supervising or leading a team in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and data entry processes.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, GRNs, invoices, BOLs, and inventory reports.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse safety standards and commitment to compliance.
• Flexibility to work shifts or extended hours based on operational requirements.
