WalkIn - 6th Sept (QC,XML,Epub,Project Manager,Indesign & CopyEditing)

QC:

1) Should have QC experience on Trade Books and education books.

2) Should have with good command knowledge over Acrobat Professional

3) Working experience of finalizing the proof against Layout/design and checking the printing parameters

4) Knowledge of doing quality check of sample against design and specification

5) Able to come in rotational shift

Indesign:

1) Work experience in XML-to-InDesign workflow.

2) Working experience in any Math software preferable MathType.

3) Should have knowledge to create InDesign Template for All complexity categories

4) Should have experience on Trade Book as well higher education InDesign composition

5) Able to come in rotational shift

Copy Editing:

• Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
• Structure, edit and link references (if necessary) as per the provided guidelines.
• Maintain and develop editorial style sheet to govern the content.
• Ensure all elements are present as per the instructions and/or brief.
• Check content against a style guide (e.g., CMS, AMA, APA, Bluebook, OSCOLA).
• Check and edit mathematical enunciations, equations, figures and tables as per the guidelines. • Flag any unclear sentences or missing elements to the author.
• Communicate with the author and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve production and project management queries.
• Run spell-check
• Perform proofreading of the edited manuscripts before final dispatch.

Project Manager:

Mandatory:
• Experience in handling Full Service Project Management, • Communication Skills _ Verbal & Written. • Production Management skills. • Can attend customer calls • MIS, Invoice, Freelance management Preferred: • Experience in the Books division • Worked for Bloomsbury, CUP-Peer Review, WKH, SAGE

Epub:

• 2+ years of experience in eBook conversion (EPUB2, EPUB3, MOBI, accessible PDFs).
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and XML workflows for digital publishing. • Hands-on experience in accessibility implementation and validation tools (Ace by DAISY, EPUBCheck, NVDA, JAWS). • Expertise in handling Reflowable eBooks, interactive elements, and MathML. • Knowledge of MSWord is Compulsory. • Experience in remediating EPUB files for accessibility compliance • Knowledge of metadata, navigation, and semantic structuring for EPUB • Knowledge in MathML • Knowledge in editors (Epsilon, Ultra-Edit, Notepad++, etc.) • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and regulations for publishing

XML:

• Complete knowledge in XML coding & trouble shooting
• Links, coding for equations & Validation with client tool • In-Depth knowledge in CUP specifications/requirements
