MANUFACTURING SCIENCES DEPARTMENT

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Upstream Process

• Execution of divisional activities as per plan/schedule.
• To follow applicable QA/ GLP requirements while executing the activities.
• Preparation & Maintenance of media/ seed inoculum/ buffer solutions required for upstream process for vaccine components.
• To executive the upstream process as per procedures.
• Recording & maintenance of on-line documentation i.e. logbooks, Data sheets, etc and other related documents of the division.
• To update the lab notebooks with complete experimental raw data.
• Responsible to submit the executed lab notebooks to QA.
• Preparation / Review of SOPs, Study design, Study Reports & any other documents as per requirement.
• To ensure equipment qualification status.
• To coordinate with Engineering, QA & Vendor to carry-out the qualification of the existing & new equipment.
• Responsible to record manual monitoring of temperature sensitive equipment and replace the charts weekly / as per requirement.

2.Downstream Process

• Harvesting, purification activities of column chromatography, filtration, TFF, depth filtration and buffer Preparation in small scale and pilot scale.
• Authorize/review the process related documentation like process description and batch records.
• Monitors and report on process performance of manufacturing data analysis and delivery of data in the form of live presentations.
• Involved in pilot scale operations for downstream process development.
• Performs routine analytics as part of process development experimentation.

3.Analytical Development

• Should be well versed in ELISA, HPLC and other biochemical tests.
• Testing of conjugate vaccine and release of PCT samples.
• Testing of DS samples for D-Ag content and all other tests for development samples
• Method development and testing for all the release tests of antigen combination vaccines.
• Responsible for media preparation, aliquoting and storage of media.
• Responsible for storage of sterile materials and usage.
• Regular update of LCRs pertaining to testing of MR and all other developing vaccines.
