Vulnerability Management & Penetration Testing SME

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vulnerability Management & Penetration Testing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our expanding cyber security team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in application security, hands-on expertise with SAST and DAST tools, and a genuine passion for mentoring future cyber security professionals. This role demands exceptional communication skills and prior experience in customer-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
• Utilize Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools to discover and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Prepare comprehensive assessment reports, document findings, and provide clear, actionable remediation strategies for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Interact directly with clients to understand needs, present findings, and deliver expert advice on security best practices.
• Mentor and guide fresh graduates and junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in cyber security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
• Demonstrated expertise in Application Penetration Testing, with knowledge of methodologies such as OWASP Top 10 and PTES.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing role, with a professional and consultative approach.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring fresh graduates and supporting their career development.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., EJPT, CEH, GWAPT) are a plus.
