Vulnerability Identification: Perform regular vulnerability scanning and assessments using industry-standard tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) to identify and classify security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
Risk Assessment: Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk to the organization, considering factors like exploitability, asset criticality, and potential impact.
Remediation Coordination: Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure the timely patching and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vulnerabilities, actions taken, and compliance with remediation schedules.
Compliance Management: Ensure vulnerabilities are addressed in accordance with relevant compliance frameworks
Trend Analysis & Reporting: Monitor vulnerability trends and provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting risks, remediation progress, and ongoing threats.
Incident Response Support: Provide support during security incidents, helping to identify exploited vulnerabilities and assist in incident response efforts.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of vulnerability management processes, tools, and policies.
