Your role will involve leading the development of our VSCode extension using TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration with the Go-based language server. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating offshore development resources to deliver high-quality results and facilitate effective collaboration across different time zones. Additionally, you will work on integrating the Language Server Protocol (LSP) and Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP) within the VSCode extension, while implementing best practices in code quality, maintainability, and performance for TypeScript and Go components. Furthermore, you will engage in tasks such as developing parsers and abstract syntax trees (AST) for interpreters or compilers of domain-specific languages (DSLs) as part of language server development. Collaboration with product management to align technical strategies with product goals, ensuring smooth deployment and testing processes by working closely with QA and DevOps teams will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must be proficient in TypeScript and have experience in VSCode extension development. Strong knowledge of the Go programming language, particularly for building backend services or tools, is essential. Experience with VSCode-related protocols such as the Language Server Protocol (LSP) and Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP) is also required. The ability to work independently, set priorities, manage timelines effectively, and collaborate with offshore resources or distributed teams is crucial. Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Preferred qualifications include experience with test automation tools or libraries, working with offshore or contract resources, and knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Vite) and build tools (npm, Webpack).
