As a VMware Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware vSphere environments, configuring clustering, storage, and networking settings to ensure optimal performance. Your role will involve administering VMware vSAN for storage solutions, guaranteeing high availability for business applications. Monitoring and managing virtual machine performance using VMware vROPS will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, providing valuable insights for infrastructure optimization. Additionally, you will deploy and configure VMware vRLI to enhance logging and troubleshooting capabilities across various applications and services. Implementing VMware vRA for automation and governance of IT services will be essential to streamline application deployment and infrastructure provisioning processes. Regular system performance assessments and capacity planning will also be conducted to maintain an efficient virtual infrastructure. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams is crucial for executing migrations, upgrades, and patches while minimizing downtime and risks. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerCLI, Ansible, or similar technologies is necessary to streamline operations. Certifications in VMware (VCP, VCAP, or higher) are highly desirable. Your experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of VMware environments will be vital in maintaining high availability and reliability.
