Recognized as a “One Star Export House” by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade for its 2021-2022 export performance, SMEI works with special materials like Inconel, Monel, various grades of stainless steel, and alloy steel castings. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a VMC Setter located in Coimbatore. The VMC Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision parts. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, programming the VMC machines, conducting quality checks on finished products, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. The VMC Setter will also be responsible for troubleshooting machine issues and ensuring optimal production efficiency. Qualifications Experience with setting up and operating CNC Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Proficiency in programming VMC machines Knowledge of quality control and inspection techniques Technical skills in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in machining special materials such as Inconel, Monel, and stainless steel is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in machining is preferred Show more Show less
