Job Title: VMC Setter

Department: Production /VMC Shop
Location: Changa - Jamnagar
Reporting To: Production Supervisor / VNC Shop Incharge
Experience Required: 1 to 2 Years in VMC Machine Setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Set up Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines as per job requirements.
• Select and install appropriate tools, jigs, and fixtures for each job.
• Load and align workpieces correctly to ensure accuracy.
• Perform tool offset setting, job zero setting, and trial runs.
• Conduct first piece inspection and ensure part accuracy as per drawing.
• Make necessary program adjustments for accuracy and quality.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Change tools and inserts when required during production.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish throughout production.
• Fill machine logbooks and inspection reports regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and machines.
• Follow SOPs and comply with all safety standards and quality systems.
• Coordinate with the operator and quality department during batch production.
• Train junior operators, if required.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in setting Fanuc/Mitsubishi/Siemens control-based VMC machines.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, tool life, and material properties.
• Experience in using measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of programming is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
