VMC Setter Precision CNC Manufacturing

Job Description

Unitek Engineering, a leading precision CNC turning and milling company based in Bangalore, is looking for a skilled and experienced VMC Setter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) with a deep understanding of tooling, fixture setup, and component accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up VMC machines according to job requirements, drawings, and tool paths
• Load programs and make necessary offsets and corrections as per component tolerances
• Select appropriate tools, chucks, and fixtures for various materials and job types
• Perform first piece inspection and ensure part conformity using measuring instruments
• Coordinate with programmers, operators, and QA teams to ensure optimal machining results
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and preventive maintenance of machines

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a VMC Setter in a precision machining setup
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T
• Familiar with usage of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, Vernier calipers, and bore gauges
• Exposure to Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls preferred
