Mechanical Quality Inspector

Job Description

Unitek Engineering, a leading CNC precision manufacturing company based in Bangalore, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our quality assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring our components meet the highest standards of dimensional accuracy and quality expected by our global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and customer specifications for inspection standards.
• Record inspection results and prepare quality control reports and NCR documentation.
• Monitor and maintain inspection checklists, control plans, and part history records.
• Coordinate with production, programming, and QA teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in quality inspection in a CNC machining or precision component manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of measuring instruments and GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and report generation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with VMC, CNC turning centers, or multi-axis machines.
• Exposure to customer audits and inspection documentation practices.
• Understanding of shopfloor quality control processes and production flow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
