VMC Operator

You will be responsible for operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines to manufacture metal parts. You will interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and specifications. Setting up tools, jigs, and fixtures on the VMC machine will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will load and unload parts safely and efficiently, monitor machine operations, and adjust settings as needed to ensure proper function. Basic to intermediate CNC programming may be required for this position. You will be expected to measure and inspect finished products using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work area, conducting routine machine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as needed will also be among your responsibilities. Keeping records of production output and inspection reports is essential.
