VMC Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are hiring an experienced VMC Machine Operator Cum Setter to operate, set up, and maintain Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines. The ideal candidate should be skilled in reading technical drawings, setting tools, adjusting machine parameters, and producing components as per quality standards. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in precision manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:   Set up and operate VMC machines as per production requirements.   Read and interpret engineering drawings, tool layouts, and job instructions.   Select and install correct tools, fixtures, and materials.   Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tool offsets) to ensure optimal output.   Perform first piece inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy.   Monitor machine performance and conduct regular quality checks.   Troubleshoot minor machine errors and coordinate with maintenance if required.   Maintain cleanliness and safety of the machine and work area.   Record production data and report daily output.   Follow all safety and quality control procedures. Qualifications and Skills:   ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, or Tool & Die making or equivalent.   Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating and setting VMC machines.   Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge).   Basic knowledge of CNC programming and tool setting.   Strong attention to detail and quality control.   Willingness to work in shifts if required.
