Vision Plus Engineer/Senior Consultant Specialist

As a Senior Consultant Specialist at HSBC, you will be responsible for executing the SME Lead role for medium to complex projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and recording COBOL programs in a CICS/VSAM/JCL environment - Understanding the design and requirements to develop and execute custom application features and functions - Breaking down requirements into MVPs and stories based on the BRD - Collaborating with Architects, Solution Analysis, SMEs from various teams to drive the right solution and outcome - Creating estimates for medium to large size projects and high-level design - Conducting peer reviews for design, code, and unit test results - Following standards and controls to ensure quality of outcomes - Supporting production deployment and post-development implementation activities - Performing application production support - Supporting development projects and providing production support as needed - Participating in and driving Crisis Calls for production incidents - Identifying and working on system performance improvement - Mentoring junior developers in the team - Managing stakeholders effectively To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - 9+ years of experience in development and maintenance of complex banking applications such as credit card processing - Strong knowledge of VisionPLUS product and hands-on working knowledge in one or more VisionPLUS modules - Strong knowledge of COBOL, CICS, and Mainframe technologies - Experience in design and development of medium to high complex problems - Good knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline - Strong interpersonal and communications skills - Exposure to working as a technical lead for small to medium size projects - Experience in Jira, Confluence, and knowledge of Digital Technologies and APIs Join HSBC and take your career to new heights.
