Job Description: A Videographer & Video Editor should clearly outline the responsibilities of both roles, highlighting the need for both technical skills and creative vision. The description should detail the need for high quality video capture, editing and post production along with collaboration and communication skills. Videographer Key Responsibilities: Video Capture: Planning and executing video shoots, including lighting, sound, and camera operation. Utilizing professional-grade cameras and equipment to capture high-quality footage. Creating engaging video content for various purposes (promotional, educational, social media). Conducting interviews and capturing b-roll. Collaboration: Working closely with directors, creative teams, and clients to develop video concepts and storyboards. Technical Skills: Operating and maintaining video equipment. Understanding basic camera settings and techniques. Managing and organizing video files and assets. Video Editor Responsibilities: Editing and Post-Production: Assembling raw footage into cohesive and polished videos. Utilizing advanced video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Adding music, graphics, and visual effects. Ensuring videos adhere to brand guidelines and meet project specifications. Collaboration: Working with directors, creative teams, and clients to understand video project requirements and provide feedback. Technical Skills: Understanding video editing techniques (splicing, sound balancing, color correction, etc.). Optimizing videos for different platforms and audience preferences. Managing and organizing video files and assets. General Responsibilities: Communication: Collaborating effectively with team members and clients. Communicating project progress and providing timely feedback. Time Management: Meeting deadlines and completing projects efficiently. Managing multiple projects simultaneously. Creativity and Problem-Solving: Developing innovative video concepts and storytelling techniques. Troubleshooting technical issues and finding creative solutions. Staying Updated: Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Continually improving video production quality and efficiency. Qualifications: Diploma , Degree or equivalent; additional education or certification in Videography is a plus. Proven experience in similar role, preferably in an educational or music-related setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A passion for music and a basic understanding of music education is an advantage.
