Video Journalist / Video Producer

You will be joining The Centre for Science and Environment, a renowned non-profit institution recognized for its thorough and scientific policy research and advocacy regarding environmental issues. Your main responsibility as a Video Editor will be to cater to the expanding audience of www.downtoearth.org.in, create content for the website of the fortnightly news magazine Down To Earth, and develop video-based content. You should excel in managing multiple projects within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Additionally, you will edit video-based stories and interviews and promote the video content through social media networks. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in animation and data visualization, particularly those from news-based organizations. **Roles And Responsibilities:** - Show a strong passion for storytelling and various communication styles. - Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. - Possess a deep understanding of video trends and stories aligning with DTE's video series. - Manage end-to-end video production in collaboration with producers, reporters, and the design team. - Understand scripts, conceptualize ideas, and create storyboards for videos of different styles, including animation. - Have proficient communication skills in English and Hindi, along with a good grasp of journalism. - Coordinate effectively with a team of reporters and multimedia journalists. **Work Profile:** - Responsible for the overall aesthetics of the film, including graphics and sound. - Coordinate with reporters and multimedia journalists to maintain a consistent creative vision. - Basic knowledge of social media SEO. **Key Skills:** - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects. - Additional knowledge of Adobe suite tools like Photoshop and InDesign is desirable. - Good working knowledge of MS Word. **Location:** New Delhi **Application Deadline:** May 17th, 2025 If you are interested in applying for this position, you can do so online by visiting https://jobs.cseindia.org/ and selecting the Video Journalist role.
